Friday Blackberry Picking at Hoover!

The kids and I (& Huck) met Daniel at work Friday afternoon for another round of blackberry picking---I needed to make a cobbler to send in to his work for his coworkers as well as wanting to make a trifle using fresh blackberries. YUM!

It was a little warm, the boys were grumpy and apparently hungry too. 

 Daniel was hard at work picking berries.

 I was busy taking pictures. :)

 Emily was busy collecting rocks.

 And then she discovered that the sky was blue. Seriously.

I wanted Jacob to take a picture of Daniel and myself. Emily wanted to be in it too.

Emily turns 3!

This year on Emily's birthday we had a family reunion to go to so we didn't do anything huge to celebrate. Our plans were to take her to the zoo but the weather just wouldn't cooperate (pouring rain!). After the reunion we ended up just going back to my mom's house and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Nothing big but she had a great time!

We were all drenched from walking to the car! (well, the kids were drenched from playing in the rain!)

Father's Day 2015

For Father's Day, Daniel requested we go to the Cascades and do a little hike (with 3 kids and Huck).

There was minimal complaining while we were hiking so that made it nice! Daniel enjoyed his day too!
