Science Fair & Memorial Day!

The boys both worked on a project for the school science fair over the past week...

I helped them get set up at school this morning:

They were both so proud of their displays!

They showed them off at home last night too!

On Monday our town had a Memorial Day parade. The cub scout pack Jacob is a part of marched in the parade. Zach, Emily, & I walked to our spot to watch the parade (a little extra exercise!!) and met up with some friends (Yay, Noll Family!). A good time was had by all (and it was HOT out! We finished off our parade fun with Rita's!).

Emily sure loves her Zachary (& that's all she calls him now, Zachary!).

The 3 boys watching the parade, Josh, Zach, & Noah.

Here come the cub scouts!!

Jacob and Andrew proudly held the banner for their pack the entire parade route!

The cub scouts stopped and said the pledge of allegiance also.

Rita's! Jake was so excited about his ice cream. The girl that made it described it as "wobbley" and asked if he wanted it in a cup. Of course!!

Emily didn't want help from anyone to eat her water ice.

Check out how even more colorful her dress is now. So thankful for oxiclean!

Puddles!

We had another rainy day here so when the boys got home from school (and were already wearing rain boots) it made perfect sense to jump in puddles.

I'll be looking for rain boots for Emily now since she had such a blast running and trying to jump in the puddles!

Happy Mother's Day! 2014 edition!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day today with my kiddos. :) They (& Daniel) surprised me with a bike this morning as well as a new necklace. We had bought a bike seat for Emily in anticipation of getting me a bike so we finally had a place to put it. She loved it. We had a great family bike ride this morning (as well as this evening!). I'll try to upload the video Daniel took of us riding tomorrow sometime. It's on his phone so I'll have to figure out how to get it.

Here's my new necklace:
It's got all 3 of the kids' birthstones in it as well as a mom heart. I simply love it (and I did a great job of picking it out and suggesting Daniel buy it!!).

Some fun pictures from our day...

And then I wanted a nice picture with the kids (& Ringo eventually!)...some of our attempts...

Why not try to get a nice picture or two of the kids (separate)? Jacob is more than happy to put on a nice smile and let me snap photos.. Zach on the other hand gives me a few different phoney baloney smiles. Emily wouldn't sit where I wanted her to.

The boys opened up our garage fridge and saw grape soda and requested they each have a can.. and they thought Emily should have one too. We told them they could split one and they had to share with Emily if she wanted any.

One soda, two straws. Zero fighting.

Then they put it down..........
and Emily enjoyed the last little bit.

More cuteness..

I ended the day with a call with my mom to catch up and am ready for bed!
happy kids + happy mom = Happy Mother's Day!
