Orange Belt!

Yesterday Jacob was promoted from a white belt to an orange belt at karate. In addition to the belt promotion ceremony, there was a tournament!

Ready to do his form..

he was right on cue!

Check out how high he kicks!

getting his medal from his instructor.
His medal was for having the highest kick out of all of the "Tiny Tigers."

Jake with Mr. Hayhurst!

Getting his orange belt! woo-hoo!!

tucking it into his "secret ninja pocket!"

so proud of himself :-)

Way to go, Jacob!!!

little sweetpea.

Connor, Michael, and Jacob.

Pay attention, Connor!!
I think he was more interested in his new belt than taking pictures!

silly picture!

Zach didn't get to do belt promotions since he's only been at karate for 2 weeks.
He'll do the next one in 2 months. :-)

After Karate we had a small break and then we were off to tee ball. I had to keep Emily from eating gravel so I didn't get to take any pictures.

I'm trying to get it together!

It was brought to my attention today that I have sucked at updating my blog regularly lately! We are sooooo busy that finding time to get on the computer when I have the time/energy has been scarce!

Anyways, we had tee ball on Tuesday and I snapped a few photos...

Isn't this the sweetest picture?
Emily seems to love riding in the little push car just as much as her brothers!

dandelions = $$$

So I had the brilliant idea of paying the boys to pick dandelions out of our yard. I told them they'd get 10 cents for each dandelion they plucked and put in their bags. They decided they'd put all of the dandelions together and share the money they earned to buy another lego set. Well, two hours later Jacob said "I'm tired of picking dandelions, can we be done?" I was fine with that....and then I counted their flowers.... 747 dandelions. 747 dandelions!!!!!  Clearly I didn't think that through very well. Or maybe I thought there wasn't that many dandelions??  I would've picked them for $74.70!

Anyways, here's the rest of our weekend... a birthday party, tee ball, Rita's, oh, and Zach learned to ride a two wheeler!!!

I made a 25th anniversary cake for some wonderful people up here too!
