IronBirds at Star Wars night!

A little over a month ago Daniel contacted the Aberdeen IronBirds about getting group rate tickets for our t ball team (and their families!!) to attend a game. (It made perfect sense since we were the Elkton IronBirds and the real IronBirds (Aberdeen) play about 30 minutes from our house.) Turns out they have a "co-pilots" program that allows the kids to run out onto the field with the players at the start of the game through the National Anthem. Everyone was excited. What made it even better was that it was Star Wars night at the stadium! (And seriously, I know nothing about Star Wars--never seen it and have no desire to but even I thought it would be fun!) Two of our players couldn't make it because of a prior commitment and then 2 of them couldn't make it at the last minute today (and we missed all 4 of them!)...but the 5 that were there had tons of fun!

waiting...sort of patiently.

he gave each of the kids a high five and then stood in front of Zach who was paying absolutely NO attention at all. We were all yelling "Zach!! Zach!! ZACH!!!" So then the player had some fun and made Zach miss 2 "fives."

Zach finally got him on the high five!

waiting for their names to be called.

I didn't have my bigger zoom lens on my camera so I had to crop the photo I took.. it's a little fuzzy but you get the point!

National Anthem.

Zach on the jumbotron!

Zoomed in. :) Look how little he is.

and my sweet little lady, Emily.

Jacob running back in.

Zach running back in. Still haven't figured out why they put the smallest kid the farthest away!

Emily being Emily. She loved the cupholders. :-)
