Happy 7th Birthday, Jacob!!

Today we celebrated Jacob's 7th Birthday!!

I was busy packing the boys' lunches when I saw Jacob peeking his head over the edge of the steps...before he could remind me that it was his birthday I quickly told him Happy Birthday! I asked him how it felt to be 7 years old and he told me it was "AWESOME!!" He then explained why it was so awesome.. "Because now I'm the same age as Andrew!" (Andrew is a friend of his/ours!) :-)

Granny was his first phone call of the day to wish him happy birthday...

and she started singing...

He LOVED it!

Of course the boys had school today but we picked them up a little bit early and let Jacob choose what we should do... bowling! (and these are all cell phone pictures! I didn't realize we were going right to the bowling alley after picking them up!)

(Emily desparately wanted to bowl!)

(yes, it was us and then a group of 3 other people at the bowling alley! That was it!)

bowling was followed by Jacob's choice for dinner. He asked if we could go to Cracker Barrel so thats where we went!
Jacob was quick today to tell everyone that it was his birthday, everyone including our waitress. So, after he ate his dinner, he had quite the surprise when a bunch of waiters and waitresses came over and sang him happy birthday. :-)

He called himself Frankenstein Jacob!
yes, that would be Emily playing with a thing of butter. She had eaten her dinner and was entertaining herself. .. .. and then this happened...

What can I say, we both love butter. (side note: I don't generally just eat butter by itself and took it away from Emily after snapping the picture!)

Checkers!

The toy room is actually clean!!
Present time!

The legos he asked for (well, more specifically, the legos he asked for that I could find!)

Bernadette, don't look closely!! Zach wanted to get jacob a superhero lego thing but that was as specific as he got! I wrapped it up before the boys got home so Zach had no idea which I had picked up--as soon as Jacob opened it they both said "Hey! We already have this one! Auntie Bernadette got it for Zach!" That being said, Jacob doesn't want to take it back, he wants his very own.
Every 7 year old needs a musical Darth Vader card. (See Megan, I do know about Star Wars. ha!)

Duck Dynasty PJ's!

His only complaint about the pj's was his favorite person on the show, Willie, isn't on the pj shirt!

cake time!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday dear Jacob!

Happy Birthday to you!!

nigh nigh big brother

I'm pretty sure he had a HAP-PAY HAP-PAY HAP-PAY 7th birthday!

(I just realized today, Oct 8th, that this never published on Jake's birthday!!)
