Emily turned 2 on Friday! Jacob was finishing up his week of cub scout day camp and Friday was actually family fun day so we had a busy day at Elk Landing with cub scouts! We had cupcakes for her birthday after dinner and then on Saturday evening we celebrated with friends (and we'll celebrate some more this week with family!).
Birthday morning. She had just woken up and we had about 5 minutes before we needed to get out the door to day camp.
She was not happy about having happy birthday sung to her!
The boys blew her candles out for her and then she was happy to pull them out...and wanted to eat them.

Zach and Jacob jousting.

checking out the archery range.
brotherly love. I think.
BB guns.
the balloons flew over and Jacob hit every one.
catapults!
tug o' war!
snow cones!
Jacob decided the best method for eating a snow cone was to suck all of the "juice" out of it and eat the ice last!
YUM!
Their den taking a turn with the giant catapult.
They almost hit their target!
watching the games!
with mommy's sunglasses!
Snow cone #2!
barrel fun (not a cub scout sponsored event!)
This was a Noll-Durrbeck game!
Josh!
Jacob was the top shooter (BB gun) in his den! 47 out of 50 points!
Then it was cupcake time!!
She figured out the blowing the candle out part and didn't scream when we sung to her!
And she loved every bite!
including the candle!
Happy birthday sweet girl!
Before her party Saturday evening we had a different party to go to. One of Jacob's friends from school had a birthday and since Daniel was working, I took all 3 to the party! Emily's favorite part.....
The Kilby Cream ice cream truck came and scooped out ice cream for everyone! YUM!
She loved it! We'll be heading there this summer for more ice cream treats!
Party Time!
Daniel: "ohhhhh. no. I'm not ready for two piece bathing suits."
Pizza!
and carrots!
and a pool!
and water balloons!
and great friends!
silly girls!
lots of splashing!
pink lemonade!
and Zach!
Emma's "pear"
and sweet Katie would probably love to have Ringo come to her house!
And then the kids started hauling buckets of water up to the top of the slide to make it a water slide....so of course Daniel would help them out with the hose..
This could've been the beginnings of a giant mud hole.
then the tarp appeared... and they really started to slide!

I believe the comment was "How many moms does it take to light sparklers?!?!"
Daniel gets all the credit for taking the sparkler pictures since I was in charge of lighting the sparklers.
and a wagon ride before bed.
I needed a picture of the two of them before the night was over. yep. She said "NOOO!" so he made a mad face.
my sweet girl.
I sure am one lucky mama.
