So, I was coach again at soccer tonight (and I use the word coach VERY loosely!!). Out of the 8 kids on the team we had 5 show up. Our game was about as sad as could be! None of the kids seemed to have any energy or desire to be there! About halfway through the 3rd quarter an airplane flew overhead and my entire team got distracted while the other team scored! But really, I think the other team could've gotten distracted, we could've still been "playing" and they would've still scored on us! The kids seemed to have fun though..at least they did when they were telling me about what they had for dinner and who was coming to their birthday parties. They kept asking me if it was snack time yet! When it came to running after the ball and kicking it there was less excitement..but they were always up for high fives! They like the team cheer too...and want to do that with 2 minutes left in the quarter while the other team scores. I think if we would've kept score it would've been somewhere around 15-0. No, actually it would've been 15-1--that 1 goal for our team was thanks to a kid on the opposite team kicking it into our goal. :-) To be fair though, I think 75% of the goals on the opposite team were scored by one kid.
I was hoping to post a picture or two of me out on the field with the kids during the game...I told Daniel that both cameras were in the bag and he needed to take some pictures.....but here we are with no pictures. oh well. Next time I'll ask another parent to take a few while I'm out on the field! (Though we all know how I am with my new camera so I probably won't want to step more than 5 feet away from anyone else while they're holding it!)
There's always an opportunity for me to take pictures of the boys though.........
I gave them mohawks in the tub tonight. They loved them.
Not sure why they both have their heads tilted like that!
Zach dipped his chin in the bubbles for a beard tonight. He thought he was the funniest thing ever.
I said to Jacob "make a funny face!" This was the look he gave me:
I guess I'm boring to him!
I know it's sad but this was the best picture I could take of the 3 of us! I ended up with shampoo on the side of my face from Zach rubbing his shampooey-hair on me.
I think our personalities all shine through in this picture!
