Good times with GREAT friends!

My most wonderful friend, Bernadette, and I have been trying to work out a time all summer when we could get together for a fun day with our kids. Today was the day we finally decided on and we had a blast! We went to the little zoo by us this morning and had fun seeing all the animals.

 I think the white llama remembered Zach from last week when we were there.

Thanks to Auntie Bernadette showing him how to feed the llamas Zach was willing to give it a try...until the llama got closer. He ended up dropping the kibble.

We left soon after taking this picture. They were all getting tired, hungry, and grumpy! 

(and it was drizzling on us a little!)

Before we were able to leave one of the people that works at the zoo asked the boys if they wanted a peacock feather. Just what I wanted. I told Bernadette we had made it almost 5 years without Jacob touching a feather...oh well. They're still riding in the back of the van. Maybe we'll "forget" about them!

Bernadette's hubby is super picky (yes, pickier than I am when it comes to food!) and  Daniel knew that she didn't get to eat chinese food very often so we ordered take out. yum!

I think she needs a puppy!

I think this look had something to do with her mommy taking her plate from her so she couldn't play with her lo mein any longer! Gosh I love her!

I got a text from another super wonderful friend (and neighbor) during naptime asking if I could coach soccer tonight. (she's the coach...I'm the "helper." haha) Of course I said yes (and there's not much involved with coaching. They're 3 & 4 year olds so the main objective is to get them to kick the ball into their goal..and it's not a practice, it's a game so all thats really involved is yelling "Get the ball! Kick it in the goal! Run the other way!"). We had a good time though we barely had enough kids show up so everyone played the entire game and they were tired (as was I from running up and down the field with them!). (Daniel was in charge of pictures tonight for soccer since I was coaching and he didn't feel like taking any! boo!)

Whew! I'm ready for bed!!
