Tomorrow Zach starts wiffle T-Ball! The forecast is for a rainy day so we'll have to hope for nicer weather so his first practice won't get rained out.

1st Night of Coach Pitch
Tonight was the first night of "coach pitch" t-ball for Jacob. The coach is supposed to pitch the ball to the players a few times and if they don't hit it then they pull the tee out. Jacob did such a good job hitting on the first or second pitch for the first two innings. I wasn't really able to take many pictures since I was trying to keep the kids organized on the bench and on deck for batting. I grabbed my camera to take a little video of Jacob for his last time at bat and of course this was the one time he was swinging all silly! I didn't think he was going to hit the pitched ball! He finally did! All the kids did such a great job tonight!

picture update! yep...i STILL take too many :-)
So, I finally got around to taking the pictures off of my camera from the last week or so... Enjoy!
When Jacob was at school last Friday Zach and I were busy playing in the yard (and weeding the flower beds!).
When Jacob was at school last Friday Zach and I were busy playing in the yard (and weeding the flower beds!).
Our yard is FULL of dandelions!
Both Zach and Jacob love blowing them everywhere.... no wonder we have so many!
The sun was shining in his eyes so this was the best shot I got of him "looking" at me! goofball!
Saturday morning was a T-Ball morning! My parents got here late Friday evening but after our yummy breakfast of blueberry pancakes and sausage (thanks to the hubs!) we were all ready to head to the field!
Yes, it's blurry but it's also funny. Jacob had just hit and was running to first base. Isn't it normal for a kid to pose for a picture as he's running to first base? Megan says I'm making my kids neurotic with my love of pictures! I just say their lives are well documented!
of course this picture focused on him and not the trees....right after the one that blurred!
He looks so determined!
Such a handsome t-ball player!
Playing first base!
Yes, he totally missed the ball. He hit it on the next swing though.
Neurotic? No...he just knows to pose. At least he waited til he got to first base this time!
My iPhone and iPod keep Zach occupied when he's done playing in the dirt at Jacob's games. I always figured when Daniel got me the iPod a year ago that it was more for the boys than me....and now I have 2 apple devices with apps for them. One day I'll have one without kids games on it.
During the game... clearly my dad was the only one paying attention!
Go Jacob!!
Good Job, Jake! (see, he doesn't always pose!)
And then we have today! I had another doctor's appointment this morning (isn't 2 in one week too many at 30 weeks prego??). Emily got the hiccups and wouldn't stop moving when I was hooked up to the fetal heart monitor. She was being difficult and I'm not sure they really got a good reading! They were happy with all the movement though so it was still good. I had another ultrasound for a biophysical profile after the non-stress test. The sonographer took her measurements and said "you've got a big baby!" They're estimating she weighs 4 pounds even right now. Based on ultrasound measurements Emily is measuring 3 weeks ahead of where we are. Hopefully she'll slow down a bit! I'll get another measurement in 2 weeks and am curious to see what her growth is then. Daniel says she's a little porker.
Yes, that would be Daniel's handprint on my belly.
And there I am, large. Large. LARGE. I have the waddle down pretty well and I complain about having to bend over frequently. And yes, thats my new little snow cone machine on the counter. yum.

Update on Baby Emily
I had another appointment at the hospital today where they did a biophysical profile and measured the little lady's growth. (I have these every week since one of my levels was low at my first trimester screening...just only once a month at the hospital. The rest are able to be done at my OB's office.)
Here's a picture from last Thursday at my OB's office...
And here's one from my appointment at the hospital today...
Based on her measurements today they estimate her to weigh 3 lbs 10 oz already! She's measuring a little big but everything looked great! I have another appointment on Thursday at my OB's office where I'll get to see her again and hopefully get more pictures. Isn't technology amazing?
Jacob had another t-ball game tonight that was lots of fun! I took a few pictures but haven't taken them off of my camera yet...maybe tomorrow!

oh my!
Before bedtime tonight I was reading Zach a book while Daniel was reading one to Jacob. Zach and I finished ours and Zach jumped over to Daniel's lap to listen to the rest of the story (The Berenstein Bears, Mama's New Job). There's a part in it that talks about Mama Bear's hobby (which is making quilts). Jake asked Daniel one of the questions he asks us everytime we read this book "what's a hobby?" and Daniel told him that a hobby was something we liked doing. Jacob quickly responded with "ya know what my hobby is? Watching TV because I like watching TV."
Clearly we need to work on his hobbies!!!

sniff sniff
Today was a big day in our house...well, it was a big day for me at least. I registered Jacob for Kindergarten at our local elementary school. sniff sniff. It's hard to believe it's almost time for him to start Kindergarten!! I gave some more thought to where I want to send Zach to school in the fall. I could send him back to the church Preschool he currently attends that we dearly love but there's also a Pre-K program at the elementary school that is an option. It's an income based program but the woman in the office said that last year everyone who applied was accepted. Stuff to think about!! It'd be much easier for me to take them both to the same school rather than dropping Jacob off at one school and then taking Zach to another..plus, we'll have a new baby at that point!
It was also another T-Ball night for us! Jacob got to be the "pitcher" which has got to be the best spot for any of the kids to play; it's the position with the most action!
He had such a good time tonight. Both boys seem to have a cold but at least Jake seemed to perk up a bit at the game. I was hesitant about sending them to school this morning because they were both mopey but I sent them anyway and they both had a great day. Zach just seemed to feel stinky this afternoon. He was such a trooper at the game but really looked miserable. If he would've looked as sad before we left for the game I probably would've stayed home with him! Good thing he doesn't have school tomorrow, we'll be able to relax and snuggle on the couch (while Jacob is at school).

bunny hunts & T-Ball!
I'd say we had a pretty good weekend! Saturday morning was the Elkton Little Leage T-Ball parade and opening ceremonies and then Saturday evening Jake had a T-Ball game. Of course, our morning started out with Zach and Daniel going on a bunny hunt in our backyard... Daniel got a funny little video of Zach that I'll hopefully post tomorrow.
Zach ready for his bunny hunt...with his butterfly net.
Posing before the parade...
Brotherly love! We still had to walk down to where the teams were lining up!
Zach was grumpy and rode on "Coach Dad's" shoulders for the entire parade. It didn't seem very well organized (well, at least not to those of us who were knew to it and didn't have a clue. To others it was more organized than it used to be.). After the parade the players marched onto the field for opening ceremonies (another thing that we had no clue about) however they would only let managers (head coach), other coaches, and players onto the field so I wasn't allowed in...I'm pretty sure as soon as Zach realized I wasn't in there with them he started having a mommy meltdown. Luckily I could get to the fence easily and Daniel passed him over to me. The problem...he was hungry. Of course though, I didn't have the keys so I couldn't get to the car where I had snacks (and didn't realize there was a "ceremony" to attend so I didn't bring anything with us other than a bottle of water!) and I also didn't have my purse with me so I had no cash for the concession stand. Luckily, I had my phone so he was able to play games to take his mind off of his growling tummy! We let him pick lunch and he chose pizza which was quite yummy for all of us!
Daniel set the moonbounce up for the boys to get some more wiggles out (and because it was soooo nice outside!). They had a blast! After a little bouncing they came in the house and asked if I was going to get my camera out so I could take their pictures jumping. Of course I was!!
Jacob was trying out what he called a "new jump" which involved twisting and jumping at the same time.
"Did you get that mom???"
being silly together
Probably the only time he actually jumped after I came outside!
And he landed on his tush!
This was Zach's favorite new thing to do..slide down the side.
Then it was T-Ball time!!
Jake got the ball a few times tonight and was so excited! (yes, I know, it's not the best picture but I was taking it through the fence!)
I snuck around the other team's fence to get some pictures of Jake batting. He did really great!
It was another great game and the kids had a really good time. Zach's looking forward to his games starting at the end of April!
We took the boys to the driving range to hit some golf balls today and they had even more fun!
I got a funny little video of them golfing too that I can hopefully get uploaded tomorrow too!
