Saturday sledding with my new flash :)

I got an external flash for my camera and was crazy excited to try it out. Not all of my subjects were as happy to have their picture taken (they smiled phoney baloney smiles). And I didn't waste time reading the little booklet that came with it-maybe I'll do that tomorrow. :)

faker #1 :)

faker #2 :)

And of course we got another few inches of snow so we went sledding...again.

she would've been happy eating snow all day.

again, eating snow.

trying to snowboard using a sled

he bailed but had a lot of momentum

He was having just as much fun as the kids, maybe more!

Emily made quite a few snow angels. (by the time I got the camera out while we were sledding, she was done sledding)

Zach crashed into Daniel..

the princess had a hard time walking through the snow

Jacob took a break from sledding to attempt to build an igloo. It was fairly unsuccessful so he went back to sledding.

I think this looks like Daniel was scooping Jacob's head up with the snow shovel and it just makes me giggle.

Zach thought he'd go down our back steps on the sled. He flipped when the sled hit the ground at the bottom of the steps. (but would've done it again if we hadn't told him no)

When Emily stopped sledding she began walking down our sledding path after we'd zoom down yelling "are you okay???" While she didn't want to sled down the hill anymore (probably because of my numerous ventures off of the path, seriously, I have no control over a sled regardless of how many times Daniel tells me to lean the opposite direction. It just doesn't work.), she was more than happy to walk down the path at least halfway and then jump on the sled for you to pull her little tiny hiney back up the hill. Smart little cookie.

Jake had a good idea how to get himself going fast. :)

And I had this brilliant idea that I'd get a video of each of us sledding down the hill, smallest to biggest. I got it, not sure that it's the grand video I was anticipating but well, everyone cooperated...sort of.

We're supposed to have rain tomorrow.
Does that mean my children will actually go back to school on Monday???
