100th day of school!

Kindergarten at our local elementary school celebrated the 100th day of school today! Jacob's classroom door was all decked out with a gold foil door "curtain" for the kids to walk through and a big poster! It made me want to be in his class!!!

When I picked him up he was wearing this:

and the back...
He definitely is 100 days smarter!!

He also made a fruit loop necklace at school with 100 fruit loops on it!
I sure do love his teacher and am so glad he was lucky enough to be in her class.
(the other teachers are probably just as wonderful as she is. She's just really made sure that Kindergarten has been a great experience so far and I'm sure it will continue!)

We went out for ice cream to celebrate Fat Tuesday tonight after our tasty dinner of homemade beef and brocolli. YUM. I gave some good thought to what I would be giving up for Lent this year and came to the conclusion that soda AND sweet tea were good choices. Anyone that knows me knows how much I LOOOOVE sweet tea and coca cola. It's going to be a long 40 days!!! (So I'm giving myself permission to be a grump!)
