My dad bought the boys wooden planes while he was up. They had a lot of fun building them with Grandpa and giving them "more power!" They had a great time flying the planes until they broke! Zach's had to visit the "Grandpa Repair Shop" and came out with some glue and tape.
Daniel got the boys goggles. They've been asking for them for a while and we (Daniel) finally got around to getting the for them! What better time to try them out than after lunch?
Pool fun! I can't remember if this was one of the boys' ideas or if it was my dads but boy they loved it! Sliding down that slide has never been more fun!
My parents with their 3 grandbabies.
the boys were sad to see their Granny and Pa leave. They had a really nice week with them.
Jacob just loves holding Emily and by the looks of it, she doesn't mind it too much either! He's asking to hold her from the minute he wakes up until bedtime. He doesn't care if she's screaming, he just wants to hold her and snuggle her!
sleepy little sweetheart
cute little toes
For those of you that didn't see this picture on facebook. I just love it. I have a picture of Daniel with Jacob yawning when he was teeny too.
Little Miss Emily in her purple gingham dress.
Tator Tot splashing around in our little pool.
3 kiddos being sweet to each other. Zach loves holding Emily too. He's the big brother that is quick to say "it's okay baby Emily. don't fuss baby Emily." when she's upset.
Emily slept through her first firepit/hot dog roast & marshmallow toast! The boys wanted to have a firepit the day we got home from the hospital...we convinced them it was way too hot and we'd do it another day. It was slightly less hot the next day when we did it but it was still rather warm!
Ringo and Copper enjoyed the firepit.
Then came the 4th of July. We had a busy morning getting ready for an afternoon BBQ with friends!
Zach with his baby sister. She just loves him (& Jake!).
The boys gave her her little puppy and her little kitty.
Jacob lovin' on his sister.
Relaxing at our bbq!
The kids lined up to watch our fireworks.
We had a few really good ones!
Zach with a sparkler.
Jacob with a sparkler.
The kids with party poppers.
boys playing with Emily on her playmat. (They were both under it with her at one point!)
Then we went fishing Friday morning...
This was how Emily started out her first fishing trip. (and was happy here til she got hungry)
Zachy fishing! (Zach hooked our only fish of the day....a catfish that we were thinking was about 12" long. We were all so excited about it ..... and then it broke his line and was long gone....with Zach's hook stuck in it's mouth.
Jakey fishing!
I thought they looked like they were smooching..
little goofball
We went to the playground to let Daniel fish some more without any kids!
Jacob has gotten really good at pumping his legs and doesn't want any help when it comes to swinging anymore.
Daniel was showing the boys how he could jump off the swings.
Remember the little wooden planes from Grandpa???? Well, after they both broke Daniel took them to the store and bought them each a new one. Zach's new one broke in a small spot soon after starting but they figured out a really good way to get them to fly.....so good that when they called me to watch it flew right into one of our trees. See it? Right in the middle!
See it in this one? It's pretty high up there!
Loving on their sister!
pure love!
Copper guarding his baby...as usual.
tummy time!
Zachy snuggling with Emily.
Little Miss after her bath.
Clean Zachy!!
We've had a fun last few days!k
