Spring Dance Recital 2015

Saturday evening Emily (and I) had our spring dance recital. She was a "little snowflake" and I was a black blob (well, that's what I've decided to call myself after looking at the pictures!).

Frank Beamer and family were sitting in the row in front of Daniel and the boys! (and as Daniel put it, it's the perks of living in (near) Blacksburg!)

They had a backdrop setup for people to take pictures at (thank goodness too because the costume she wore for pictures in her class was different than this one!)

We had about 2 hours before our turn to perform.

and it was finally my Emily's moment in the spotlight... 

She was hilarious. In class when we practice she wants nothing to do with the dance...she didn't do much of the dance but she did her own thing!

This was supposed to be our big finish...I'm not sure that either of our girls actually did it! (but this was the favorite part in class)

(Actually, it was a fun day altogether! We started out the morning in Powhatan so I could go to a baby shower for a friend that I've known since I was itty bitty..then rushed back to Blacksburg for dance!)

 

While Daniel didn't actually record our dance like I thought he would, he did record one of the daddy daughter dances (Jake requested it because he says he loves the song). It was a fun dance!
