12 days to go!

12 more days and the little lady will arrive! woo-hoo! That also means only 12 more days to spend with my boys doing fun stuff before their little sister turns our lives upside down (temporarily!) with chaos! Today was fun. I had an appointment this morning....and then another appointment for labwork. And we had to stop at our local parks and rec office to pick up team photos for Zach's t-ball team but I told the boys after we ran our errands and went to my appointments that we could do something fun! They decided they wanted to have a picnic at the park--easy enough! They were originally planning on picnicking at the park by our old house and they were going to ride their bikes but when we were leaving the lab they said they wanted to go to a different park that was right by where we were! Not anywhere near convenient for going home and packing a picnic lunch though! We ended up taking burger king to the park and picnicking with that! (though I'm pretty sure they both would've enjoyed lunch from home better!!) Once everyone finished eating we had tons of fun playing and being silly!

There's this big spider web thing and  yep, that's Zach climbing up it. Nope, Jacob wants nothing to do with it!

And there he is, pretty much at the top! And he got down totally on his own.

Ready, Set, Goooo!

Thing 1.

Thing 2.

Soon after this they both climbed up this ladder thing in the middle and went to where the covered slide was...I just stood there patiently waiting for them to come down..or reappear. This is what they were up to.................

super duper silliness.

Jake is just my sweetheart. He says he's teaching Zach how to be "the best big brother ever!"

After we left the park we had some quiet time at home before venturing to the pool. Daniel got to meet us there today and see all the fun that we have!

They came up with some new rules for the pool and although some things have changed, you're still allowed to bring toys to play with! It's not just a sand toy anymore!

I wish I could tell you exactly what he was doing... the only thing I can come up with is they get chilly when they get out of the water and are soaking wet...and the concrete is very warm so they're warming up! Both of them like to do it!! (I just say they're taking after their father!)

We convinced both of them to put on life jackets and try out the big pool. Jacob actually did get in it with Daniel and we showed him that he could float when he had his life jacket on. Zach sat on the side and wanted nothing to do with 4 feet deep water. I was really just thrilled that Jacob got in (even if just for a few minutes) since the water would've been over his head. I was pretty sure Zach wouldn't get in since he knew he couldn't reach the bottom but I was proud of him for sitting on the side and dangling his feet in! We're signing them up for swimming lessons and hopefully that'll help a little bit.

my silly, silly boys.

I told Daniel I'm pretty sure we joined the pool for the snack bar. Almost everyday we've went to the pool we've gotten a snack to eat on the way out. I'm boring and normally only get them soft pretzels. Daniel let them get ice cream today. yum!

More fun at home!
The boys stayed in their swimming trunks while they played outside before dinner. I spared the neighborhood and covered up my big pregnant belly with clothes!

I can't remember exactly what Jacob called this jump but he was so excited to show it to me. over and over and over and over and over again.

Things our weekend has in store for us:
-Jacob's t-ball fun day is in the morning..just a couple of hours!
-put enough clothes for the next few days in a basket thats easily accessible.
-disassemble and move all furniture other than mattresses out of the bedrooms.
-finish drywalling our master bedroom.
-cut and nail baseboard trim in all bedrooms upstairs and hallway.
-rip up all the old carpet.
-oh, and I should probably think about packing my hospital bag.
-relax! (who am I kidding??)
-the boys have big plans for Father's day.. they want to hit a bucket of golf balls, play miniature golf, go fishing, take Daniel to Chuck-E-Cheese, and make him a big breakfast. I told them with all the work that we need to do to get the upstairs ready for new carpet on Wednesday we might only have time to hit a bucket of golf balls..but we'll see!
-Daniel probably needs to find some time to work on schoolwork too!

One really good thing about us being so stinkin' busy lately and visiting the pool so much is that my house has stayed clean! I know it might not last but I'll enjoy it for now!
