We started out in the big pool and then moved over to the kiddie pool. They had fun in both!
They didn't want to wear the arm floaty things that I borrowed from the sign in desk while in the big pool but were both happy to wear them in the kiddie pool! Jacob enjoyed practicing swimming and floating!
Zach did amazing! Last year when we were in a "big pool" he stayed on the steps the entire time and didn't want to get off of them..not even if I was holding on to him. Today, he held on tight to the side in the big pool but he did venture off the steps. The water was 2 1/2 feet deep in the area of the big pool that we stayed in so his head was above water when he was on his tippy toes. He only let go of the wall one time for a minute while I was holding both of his hands but he quickly asked me to take him back to the side. baby steps!! He was much more comfortable in the kiddie pool but still asked to go back to the big pool after a little while!
Right before we left. The clouds really came over and the wind started blowing like crazy! They both started to shiver and after a little convincing, we (I) decided we should go home and come back on a not so windy day! They really had such a great time!
Then, when they should've been going to bed tonight, Daniel started doing demolition on a wall in our room.....(and seriously, we haven't done any work on our house where the boys haven't helped tear something down or rebuild something!).
Jacob was so excited to punch holes in the wall with the hammer!
Zach's turn! Daniel thought he'd do a better job using the claw end of the hammer.. he tried but decided he'd rather use the other side!
Zach was really into it!! (and they were taking turns with this one hammer...until Jacob asked for another!)
Pretty sure my entire room is covered in dust now.
Zach pushing the drywall down.
Daniel posing. He's such a weirdo. BUT, they got the wall completely down!
Now to build the new one!
Our plan is to build a walk in closet and a master bath...as well as moving the wall on the left of Daniel over about 3 feet to open up our current upstairs bathroom a little bit and build a washer/dryer closet inside of it!
A big storm seems to be coming through our area now.. Ringo's scared out of his mind and pacing. The satellite keeps freezing up.. and my room is dusty and Daniel plans on doing some more work in there! I guess I'm snoozing in the recliner!
If you have a minute to spare, say some prayers for some friends of ours and their 4 month old little boy. I know all the extra prayers that are said for them are appreciated.
