Just like the rest of the team, he got a few pitched balls to attempt to hit and since he missed them he got to his off the tee. He was still happy!
Look, mom! I'm playing on Jake's team!!
In the ready position!
right field was less than exciting for Zach.
This was probably his proudest moment (and I missed it thanks to the lady who walked up to me and was talking about deleting pictures). It was his second time at bat and I was just a few feet away from first base so I could see everything...Daniel pitched him the ball and he hit it!!! All of a sudden I heard cheering like crazy and looked up and Daniel had run over to him and was getting him to run to first base. I think he was so excited he had hit the ball that he didn't remember to run! Even if I didn't see him hit the ball this time, I was one proud mama!
And then the 3rd inning came..........
Jacob did awesome at the game. He was so excited to catch the ball and field the ball. He's getting MUCH better at paying attention to where he's throwing the ball!
and he still poses for pictures while running the bases!
Then later on that afternoon.... more construction!
Zach helped Daniel measure the 2x4s for the wall.
Daniel let Zach have his own pencil to mark the boards.
(Jacob was busy watching a cartoon. . .he was over my rules in the construction zone!)
Sunday morning....
Daniel was out golfing with our neighbor and the boys and I headed off to church! They know if they're good boys that we'll get donuts afterwards and they were just perfect!
Jacob had another t-ball game last night and I ended up putting my camera away because it was drizzling on us almost the entire game!
Zach had t-ball again tonight (seriously, what would I blog about if we didn't have t-ball?? what would occupy our time?)
The next series of pictures happened when the last batter from the opposing team was up (so that kid gets to run the bases completely. There's no outs in whiffle t-ball.). Zach was playing first base. I don't remember where the ball went to in the field but someone got it and threw it to Zach... and ultimately the kid pretty much made it all around the field before Zach picked the ball up and threw it home! It was pretty funny!
and then he was up to bat...
what a goofball!
We had a fun game! The boys and I have had a fun past few days too!
Thank you to everyone that has said special prayers for our friends. They stopped by today to drop off snack for Thursdays game (I told them they shouldn't have worried about it!) and said that Noah was doing so much better. He had successful heart surgery yesterday and has been doing so much better since the surgery was finished. God is great and truly does answer our prayers. I sure hope that if I'm ever in the situation that they've been in the past week that I have as much faith and strength as they've shown.
