I think I could use a personal assistant...

I've been in a bit of a rut lately! There's just so much stuff that needs to be done and not enough time to do it (or maybe there's enough time to do it but I'm exhausted once the kids get to bed and just don't have the energy to do anything). I really want to go through everything and get rid of the unnecessary junk! (then we go back to the lack of time bit....)

I still have about 4 loads of laundry left to fold and put away....at least Emily's diapers are stuffed and ready to be used!

Daniel had a fun time at the concert last night with Mr. Jacob and Scott and then we had a nice breakfast with Scott this morning at Cracker Barrel before he headed back to Richmond. I was lucky enough to catch a nap while Emily played on her playmat on the living room floor (yes, I napped next to her on the floor!!).

Jacob wanted to hold Emily today while he was watching football...

 

 

I'm wanting new lamps for my living room. We got ours when we bought our first house in Powhatan, 7 years ago. It's time for a change! (doesn't help that one of them broke 2 days ago...) I've looked around at a few places and haven't seen any that I just LOVE for the price. So, I bought spray paint. It's just a temporary solution until I can find some lamps that I really like. I need to go get new shades too. I found a shade I like at Lowes.com and just need to drive over there and pick one up at the store. I'll post before and after pictures tomorrow if I get to the store to get the new shade.

 

I need to figure out what I want on the wall the my couch is on. I keep thinking hanging a mirror would be nice and reflect the light nicely but then that might be a problem with sunlight reflecting off the mirror onto the television...and we put the tv on the wall with the windows specifically so we won't have that problem. Is that even a problem with lcd tv's? I guess I should check with the hubs. My other idea is getting some artists canvas and creating some art pieces. That could be a disaster. I could also hang our family portrait above the couch. Thats hanging above our fireplace right now with a picture of each boy on either side but since I'm needing to have a picture of Emily hanging up there too I'll need to rethink the arrangement. I thought about hanging a mirror above the fireplace too.. thinking it might make the room seem bigger. I really like the canvas pictures idea for over the couch...just not sure if I can actually do it! Where would I put our family portrait then??? I probably should think about this when I'm not so tired.

 

I think the laundry is going to have to wait until tomorrow!!!
