Emily has gotten so alert and much more interactive lately. It's fun to watch her lay on her playmat and grab onto the toys...and pull them into her mouth. The dangling monkey seems to be her favorite.. probably because it has the longest arms and legs to pull on!
Cute in her blue jeans! (outfit thanks to Sammy!)
still playing! (but it was after a diaper change and we hadn't put pants back on yet!)
She was in such a great mood and has such great head control that I decided we'd get the bumbo seat out and give it a whirl. . .
See her face...it very quickly turned into the next photo..
I'm putting the bumbo seat up for a week and then we'll try again!
Before I was able to put it up though this happened...
That's how tiny he is! (but he is wearing 4T clothes..and he did just turn 4 so it makes sense...it's just that a lot of other kids his age are bigger!)
This was one of our nights where Daniel had class so we try to do fun things (who am I kidding...I always try to do fun things..sometimes I just try harder). The boys asked to make Rice Krispies treats and I said sure thing!! We made Rice Krispies Treats a la Sarah. She had mentioned to me that she adds some cocoa krispies in when she makes hers so thats what we did!
The marshmallows we used were a month out of date. They tasted fine but were thicker than I remember marshmallows being when we melted them with the butter. They were the walmart brand too..maybe that had something to do with it--I don't know! They tasted fine but the whole thing was a bit harder to mix up!
Fast forward a day...
Well, let's rewind to last week. Zach had gotten on blue so I took them out for ice cream (because I'm a cool mom like that..and we all love ice cream). While we were eating it Jacob mentioned how he really wanted to go to one of the local ice cream shops he really likes. I told him "next time you get on blue you can pick where we go." Well...he got on blue yesterday so we were in for another round of ice cream!
Daniel mentioned going to Cold Stone for ice cream and Jacob agreed that was the place to go since we rarely ever go there. (Daniel mentioned it because we had a coupon for a free ice cream for his birthday that was expiring last night!) A good time was had by all!
Zach got cotton candy ice cream and wanted a peanut butter cup mixed in. I convinced him that just having the peanut butter cup (whole, not in pieces) set on top was the way to go! The idea of a peanut butter cup mixed in with cotton candy ice cream just turns my tummy!
Jacob chose cotton candy ice cream with gummy bears! YUM! He also requested they get waffle bowls and of course I said yes.
Poor little Emily, I wouldn't let her have any ice cream. Soon enough she will! She's already learning about hamming it up for the camera though...
I didn't realize the camera wasn't focused on her when I took the picture but it's still cute!
Watching her brothers....wishing they'd share their tasty treat!
Thinking about eating her blankie!
silly lady.
I call her pretty lady. Jacob calls her "Miss Cutes-a-lot" or "my little cupcake."
She's such a cute little stinker!!
