Our front porch looking in...: Happy 4th Birthday, Zach!!!!!

I have so much to blog about! Our internet went out a few days ago and totally screwed me up!

Today was Zach's 4th birthday! Wow!! We had our little family celebration yesterday since Daniel had to work today. Daniel always takes their birthdays off and we do something fun and there wasn't any way he could get out of his weekend shift so we decided to celebrate a day early. A friend of ours has the exact same birthday as Zach and they were having his party today so we decided to go to their party and celebrate with them (and we hadn't seen them in a while so it was nice to catch up!).

Here's some highlights from our last 2 days:

Zach said he wanted to go bowling for his birthday.

For some reason I thought Emily would sit nicely in the car seat while we bowled.

This was how Emily ended up for the entire first game.

Jake "fell" at the foul line almost everytime.

Everyone was having a good time!

The end of game 1!! Daniel won (and held Emily the entire time). Jacob came in 2nd and Zach and I tied for 3rd. Yes, a tie.

And this is how Daniel started the second game (but only did it the one time!).

How we ended the second game (Daniel, Zach, me, and Jake).

Zach fell asleep after we went bowling and when we pulled in the driveway Daniel scooped him up and asked him if he wanted to snooze in the hammock..of course he did!

Jacob said "wouldn't this make a nice picture???"

We had a few presents for him. This one was from Jacob.

I'm not sure who was more excited about it. It's a Lego Batman.

Zach loved it!!

I thought I'd ask Daniel to take a picture of all 3 of them together. I pictured it being wonderful. not saying this isn't wonderful but it's not what I had imagined!

This is closer but still not exactly what I had in mind!!

Emily was skyping with Granny. I think she must've been splashing really big and Daniel called Granny so she could see.

Then we had our fun today at Mrs. Allison's house! Happy 4th Birthday to Russell too!!

There was a waterslide...and popsicles.

The kids got fish for winning a game. Jake named his fish "Jacob" and Zach named his "Friend." I'm figuring they'll keep these in their room...so tomorrow we need to get a small fish tank for them.
