and to think...it was brand new (dry) sand a month ago.
transporting them to the dump truck.
Zach decided to go after them with his hands.
Jake caught one!
Check out my tadpole, mom!
I got one too, mom!!
Jacob was done hunting tadpoles and decided to swing.
Daniel worked on dethatching our lawn today and then Zach helped him rake up all the dead grass (weeds) that was pulled up ... into a pile in the road for the town to pick up.
We desperately needed some groceries so I loaded up Zach and Emily into the car and away we went (Jake wanted to stay with Daniel). Zach wanted to ride in the cart...and clearly Emily needed to. My one question was "Where am I going to put the groceries???" As Sara said, I should've brought my ergo baby carrier. I should've also taken a picture of the cart before we checked out...Zach was packed in tight with groceries all around him; we utilized the bottom rack on the cart quite well too!
We got home and found this...
What was the first thing I heard Daniel say to him?
"Jacob, watch where you're going!! You can't stop!!!!"
Technically, he could make it stop, all he'd have to do is lean forward; he can't reach the brakes though!
He was loving it!!
Zach barely weighed enough to keep it running! (He actually did stall it out once when he scooted too far forward.)
Look how tiny he is!
He was so excited to drive it unassisted too.
The couple of trees in our front yard got super aerated. Apparently doing circles around the trees was the thing to do.
Jacob's video...
There's a time or two in the video where he poses for Daniel to take a picture (since I guess thats all I do with either my phone or camera! He's trained!!).
and oh yeah, I bought the boys each a pair of handcuffs at the grocery store. They were thrilled.
Jacob figured out very quickly how to undo them.
Emily didn't enjoy her first tractor ride too much. (and she needed earplugs/headphones. Daniel said she was wailing and I guess he had no choice but to pick her up and then get back on the tractor?) Perhaps she'd enjoy it more if it were a John Deere. We'll have to try it out at Granny & Pa's.
We made homemade pizza Friday night for dinner. Everyone got to make their own!
Zach's pepperoni pizza.
Jacob's perfectly placed pepperoni pizza ...which later got sausage sprinkled on it.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
yum!
Daniel's pizza in the oven.
Daniel laid on the floor to talk to Emily in the bouncey seat. Ringo needed a headrest.
Big stinky dog.
