Ironbirds... take 2!

Daniel thought it'd be fun to take the boys to another Ironbirds game..this time not to a game that started at bedtime! The other 2 families that went with us the first time couldn't join us this time but we still had a great time! Emily was hungry (of course) when we got there so I got my nursing cover out and put it over my head and then one of the ushers came up to me and asked if I wanted to go into the medical aid area to nurse her. It was a lovely little air conditioned room. :-) My plastic lawn chair was a little more roomy than the stadium seat too! She and I got back in the 3rd inning, in time for Daniel to take Zach for his first potty break. When they got back I snapped a few pictures...

Emily got fussy so Daniel took her up and walked her around. He said he'd rather do that than have to take Zach to the bathroom over and over....at least holding her he could still watch the game! (And at this stadium, there aren't any bad seats!) He came back with her and said he thought she needed a new diaper so both boys and I took her to the restroom to change her. Daniel decided we all needed hot dogs. For whatever reason, Daniel gave Zach his to hold onto after he put ketchup on it, before getting back to the seats. Zach dropped it; the hot dog rolled out of the bun. Luckily Jacob decided he didn't want a hot dog after all. (And Sundays are "dollar dog days" so I guess if you're going to drop a hot dog Sunday is the day to do it!) I stayed up where I could walk around with Emily while Daniel and the boys went back to the seats. I guess I should mention that Daniel bought nachos too. I'm not exactly sure of the course of events but at some point after they sat down in their seats, Daniel handed Jacob the nachos so he could do something...then I'm thinking Jake gave them to Zach who maybe put them in the seat next to him and then promptly stood up...causing the chips to spill all over the concrete! Emily fell asleep, we walked back down, and I got to hear about the chip fiasco. I told Daniel he should've left them with me and then they wouldn't have gotten spilled (he still wouldn't have gotten to eat them but at least they wouldn't have been wasted!).

Zach wanted to sit with me and snuggle while Emily snoozed on me.. of course she woke up while Zach gave her a bear hug! Then he told me "this would make a good picture, mom." It's lovely, isn't it?

my dear, sweet, sweet, Jacob. oh my.

We made it through the whole game!
Emily's been to 2 minor league baseball games...and she's only 6 weeks old.
A woman at church this morning asked how old she was. After I responded "6 weeks" she said "She's very healthy for a 6 week old!" She's just adding extra layers for the winter!

They all look so sweet. don't be fooled...
