Elkton tree lighting

A friend invited us to a local tree lighting before our dinner with another friend. . . we sure had fun!

Emily was ready! Same Santa hat that the boys both wore when they were itty bitty!

watching the dancers while we waited for Santa

Zach and Josh. Zach was happy to see his buddy again.

Noah trying to get to his lady!

Can you spot Santa?

caroling with Santa!

best picture I got of the group! Maybe Jen got a better one!

I think they were singing with Santa but I can't remember!

and it's lit!

Zach convinced Daniel that we needed to see Santa while we were there. Sort of threw a wrench in my plans for seeing Santa but I think we can still do what I wanted too. We'll just have 3 Santa visits this year (Zach thought of something that he forgot to tell Santa about anyway!).

Jacob with Santa

Zach with Santa

My precious 3. Emily was really good up until about 2 minutes before our turn to see Santa. She was tired of waiting at that point and wouldn't smile for us! Let's hope for a better picture when we take the 3 of them to the Santa House.

Santa was pretty clever. Both boys of course told him they wanted ipads and he told them to keep wishing and wishing and wishing!

Emily starts cereal & we meet Eugene!

What a fun and exciting evening we had...

Emily had her first taste of baby cereal. It went something like this:

She was sooooooooooooooooooooo excited to sit at the table. Look at her precious little face. She was definitely ready (though I think she would've preferred the bbq chicken).

mmmmmm..... organic brown rice cereal.

maybe I'll just eat my fist instead!

open up, Emily

this one speaks for itself!

how about another taste?

yum! yum! yum!

not sure what I think about this stuff!

how about some of that tasty bbq chicken? please!

more cereal!

alright, mom...I'm done!

After dinner we had something fun for the boys..... we got an Elf on the Shelf!
Meet Eugene!

The boys seem quite excited about the new "addition" to our family!

He's waiting for them to notice him on the ledge at our steps....
See that messy shelf? Well, it's behind our loveseat so I don't see it very often (thankfully) but thats our arts & games shelf. I didn't realize until taking this picture that even though the boys have been putting their stuff away on the shelf they haven't been putting it back nice and neatly! I guess that'll be their "project" before school in the morning!

Someone's ready for Christmas!

She might not be able to tell me what she wants for Christmas but she's ready....

Isn't she cute in her Christmas outfit?
Should I mention that my mom bought this outfit when I was pregnant with Jacob...before we found out we were having a boy. I didn't even realize I still had it but we were going through boxes and there it was! Glad we could finally use it!

She finally saw that there were reindeer on the feet.

Got em!

Practicing sitting up some more!

letters to Santa

The boys sat down and wrote their letters to Santa today.

Zach's......
Zach started writing his, he got as far as "Dear Santa, I wo" and didn't feel like writing anymore so I did it for him and he signed his name. (Dear Santa, I would like hotwheels cars, hotwheels wall tracks, a toy box, legos, books, an art book, an iPad, and an iPhone. I've been really good this year! Zachary)

Jacob's....

(Dear Santa, For Christmas I would like: hotwheels wall track, hotwheels cars, new pencils, art book, books, iPad, new ornament, toy box, and legos. Jacob)

And the back of Jacob's wish list...
It's a picture of him and Santa and after hearing Zach say he'd been a good boy this year, he decided it was necessary to write it on his!

After reading their wish lists all I can say is if Santa shows up with an iPad for each of the boys, he sure better have one for me too!!! Daniel says he thinks Santa might be sick this year.

Anyways, while they were writing their lists, Emily was hamming it up for the camera.

She's 5 months old today!
Happy 5 month birthday pretty lady!

She's been sticking her tongue out at me all day today!

Look at those eyelashes! All of my kids have gorgeous eyelashes. :-)

She's been practicing sitting up by herself! She's doing pretty darn good at it too (though she does topple over after a few seconds).

Hi, mom!

Her thighs are the chunkiest thing about her! Wonder where she gets that from???

there's that tongue again!

this might be my new favorite.

When I pulled all of the Christmas stuff out, the boys found their Santa hats.

Santa's helpers.

4 thumbs up!

Woof-Woof needed to be in the picture too.

I think they're ready for Christmas! Wish I was too!!!!
