Jacob time!

Over the past couple of weeks when Daniel has gotten home early enough to stay with Emily and Zach while I get Jacob from school, Jacob has mentioned how he would really like to have a "mommy & Jacob" day. Daniel and I decided that we'd each take one of the boys to go see a movie today and get to spend some one on one time with them. Jacob and I went to see 'Wreck-It Ralph" this morning and had such a great time together. Periodically throughout the movie he'd lean over to me and say "Mom, I'm having so much fun! Thanks for bringing me!" At the end of the movie he said "You're the best mom ever!"

He loved the movie. It was really quite cute. On our way out we bought Daniel and Zach tickets for a later showing and thank goodness we did because apparently it sold out. They both enjoyed it too and it was good for Zach to get to spend some time with Daniel since he generally wants me.

 

Zach walked in and handed me flowers. I told him he was such a sweetie pie...then Daniel told me he's pretty sure Zach wanted to get me flowers because he asked to get his (stuffed animal) kitty cat flowers!!! He picked out a daisy plant for kitty cat and when Daniel said something to him about kitty needing to water the plant Zach told him he'd help. He's hoping to keep them on his dresser for kitty.

 

Daniel apologized for bringing me flowers (I know, what???? crazy!). He bought some for me a week ago and I guess he figured I wouldn't like them again...yes, I'm serious. I did tell him that I would really like a taller vase for them too. For now my pretty, tall, glass pitcher is doing the job!

 

Another fun day is in store for tomorrow -- football with friends!
